The business problem

Small businesses deserve better than reactive, impersonal IT support.

I saw too many companies stuck choosing between expensive providers that treated them like an account number or waiting until something broke before getting help. I wanted to build something different.

Mean IT keeps the moving parts together. One accountable team, clear communication, and support built around the way your business actually works.

Why I started Mean IT

Technology is about the people relying on it.

Mean IT Consulting was created around a simple idea: technology should make running your business easier, not become another problem you have to manage. That means being responsive when someone needs help, explaining things without unnecessary technical jargon, and taking the time to understand how a business actually operates before recommending a solution.

For me, IT has never just been about computers, servers, or networks. It’s about the people relying on them. A dental office needs its systems working so it can take care of patients. A small business owner needs to know their data is protected. A growing company needs technology that can grow with it without wasting money on things it doesn’t need.

That’s why relationships are such an important part of Mean IT. I want our clients to know who they’re calling and feel comfortable actually making that call. I’d rather become the person you trust with your technology than simply be another vendor sending you an invoice every month.

I also believe good IT should be proactive. Backups, cybersecurity, training, monitoring, and planning aren’t very exciting when everything is working — but they’re incredibly important when something goes wrong. A big part of what we do is making sure our clients are prepared before that day comes.

As Mean IT continues to grow, that’s the part I don’t want to change. I want us to stay personable, practical, and accessible while giving small businesses access to the same level of technology and protection that much larger organizations have.

At the end of the day, I built Mean IT Consulting to be the kind of IT company I’d want to work with: knowledgeable without being condescending, professional without being corporate, and genuinely invested in the businesses we support. We mean technology — and we mean it when we say we care about the people behind it.
